A friend of mine makes a circular loaf of Christmas bread for each of her friends every December. She delivers these in frozen form in the weeks before Christmas and asks all of us to eat ours as part of our breakfast on Christmas morning. I enjoy this rather unique tradition.

Favorite holiday tradition is the opening of Santa gifts. We always make sure everyone, no matter what age, gets at least one Santa gift. Preserves the tradition.
Mom's homemade eggnog in Dad's mustache.
Making bread on Christmas eve, the smell filling the house.
Lasagna on Christmas day.
And a box for bowling shoes from the 70s that has held our tree's angel topper for years and years - and is given to someone each year.
I'm going to be writing a post about holiday traditions on Sunday. Old traditions, new traditions, and even blending traditions with those of others :)

My Girlchild's birthday is the 27th and my youngest niece is the 26th. It's tough having a birthday so close to the "big day". It's great when I hear about people make an effort to make the birthday and the holiday both special :)

As an adult, my favorite tradition is wrapping all of my presents while watching The Princess Bride.

My fav. tradition is making cookies and candy with my mother in law while we have to "taste test" each batch :)

I love dressing my kiddos up in their new Christmas pajamas at my parent's Christmas on Christmas Eve. They are ready for Santa's visit the next morning and make the cutest pictures. Plus, we don't have to worry about waking them up to dress them when we get home. They ride home in their jammies.
My second favorite tradition is baking something new to take to our neighbors. I've done this for 12 years. We live in a rural area and don't have many neighbors, but it's just another way to reconnect and share some holiday love.
Thanks for the chance to win
We love that stuff...and gather around it at the table and pig out!
See this post from summer....we just could'nt wait. :)

This was the first year, but my children decided to start their own tradition. They each picked out one present that they want, and then they donated it to charity. They are starting to question Santa and why there are children that dont get anything. This is teaching them from a young age,the joy of giving, not to be selfish, and to appreciate what they do have.
